Nobody can adequately prepare you for life in Lagos. Just when you think you have her figured, she pulls out a new trick on you. When I first came to Lagos 14 years ago, I was repulsed by everything. The crowd, the sense of desperation that hung in the air (hello Lagos hustlers), the over familiarity of market traders ("Customer come now, I get one jeans wey go make your yansh set"), the traffic...I hated it all. But today, I can't imagine living anywhere else. I do not hesitate to call this city home because it is that and a whole lot more.

My Crazy Lagos Life
